We are beyond sad to announce the passing of our dear friend and partner, Richard Lofredo, who passed away on November 3rd.
Rich was a founding member of The Time To Plan Is Now, and had been a financial advisor for over 40 years. As a professional, Rich helped countless families, business owners and corporate executives with their insurance, investments, retirement and other planning needs.
In the second half of his long and celebrated career, Rich began working with – and then focusing on – helping families where a loved one has a disability. Like many of us who do “special needs financial planning,” Rich’s point of entry into this field was a connection to a dear family member who needed this kind of specialized work.
But Rich soon found great meaning in this path, and chose to make service to the disability community part of his ongoing legacy. He dedicated himself to learning as much as he could and eventually earned the Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC) professional designation.
In the years that followed, Rich continued to passionately educate himself on the issues facing individuals with disabilities, and the supports and services that best enhance their lives and capabilities.
Rich and I first joined forces in 2017, and we formed The Time To Plan Is Now in 2019 as a joint venture to leverage our combined experience and provide the best platform for servicing all of our current and future clients. In the years we worked together we attended many inspirational events and resource fairs, presented to many wonderful schools and organizations, and created many powerfully informational resources and other materials.
Beyond being a stellar financial professional, Rich was a wonderful human being. Simply one of the most honest, caring, and decent people you could ever have the pleasure to know. Always humble and genuine, Rich was a man of faith and integrity who treasured his family and his friends and loved living life with gusto.
Rich is survived by Jaqueline, his beloved wife of 30 years, and untold numbers of people whose lives he touched. May his memory be a blessing.
